A porphyry path winds its way between little lakes of nymphaeas, lawns and meadows, little rose paths and artificial ponds. Papyri, lotus flowers and red water lilies grow next secular boxwood plants and century \ endash old oak trees. The park is taken care of by expert gardeners and is furthermore enriched by little churches, mysterious fountains and wise quotations, not to mention the names that accompany these suggestive corners: the avenue of emerald trunks, sunset avenue, the terrace of enchantments. Of course as the seasons change, so does the countryside. Autumn colours alternate wuth those of the roses or the water lilies.

The upper Garda Natural Park stretches along the interior of the western shores of the lake. The uniqueness of this park, which is particurarly beautiful in spring and autumn, is due to the variety of the morphology and nature. Typically Mediterranean along the coast, it becomes alpine when moving inland where, next to high plateaux the peaks of some mountains stand out. On the coast the vegetation typically Mediterranean: lemon trees, oleanders and olive trees grow under and the owering cliffs. The interior however, with deep valleys is a lushness of mughon pines, larches, firs, heather and rhododendrons, not to mention the high pastures of Tremalzo.

South of Borghetto is the Mincio River Park, decreed as such in 1984 through a regional law which protects and valorizes areas of particular historical and scenic interest. Of particular scenic and naturalistic interest inside the park are the nature reserve of Castellaro, the Bosco della Fontana and the Park of Bertone.
